Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you’ll be crucial in keeping our customers’ equipment running strong. Your daily work will involve:
- Determining the best equipment and welding methods by applying your knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and various techniques.
- Performing all welding and fabrication work in strict compliance with safety procedures and CWB codes.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete projects accurately.
- Repairing worn components, equipment attachments, and performing structural modifications on heavy machinery.
- Contributing to a positive shop environment and taking on other duties as needed to help us deliver outstanding service.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a team player with solid skills and the right attitude. The ideal candidate will have:
- A 2nd Year, 3rd Year, or Journeyman Welder status.
- CWB certification in SMAW or FCAW, with practical experience in GMAW processes.
- Hands-on experience with shop repair, fabrication, and heavy equipment repairs/modifications.
- The ability to fit and layout assemblies to tight tolerances and work confidently from detailed drawings.
- Strong communication skills and a consistently positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or forklifts is a valuable asset.
