Key Responsibilities
In this autonomous, client-facing role, you will be responsible for the complete care and maintenance of our clients’ swimming pools. Your key duties will include:
- Performing on-site pool cleaning, vacuuming, and precise chemical balancing to ensure optimal water quality and safety.
- Operating, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance on pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and valves.
- Using the provided iPad and Spin Disc water testing unit to conduct accurate tests and log all job details digitally via our dedicated apps.
- Providing friendly, professional service to clients, offering clear communication and helpful advice on pool upkeep.
- Managing your own daily schedule efficiently to complete all assigned visits to a high standard.
- Identifying and reporting any significant equipment issues or repair needs to the wider service team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this hands-on role, you will need:
- Proven, practical experience in pool valeting, maintenance, or servicing.
- A solid working knowledge of pool water chemistry, cleaning techniques, and the operation of pool pumps and filtration systems.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using smartphone/tablet apps.
- A current, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- A professional presentation, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand (residency or a valid work visa).
Applicants with experience in pool equipment servicing will be highly regarded and can expect a rate reflective of their advanced skills.
