Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be integral to the smooth operation of our dynamic kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes according to our exacting standards, whether working with prime steaks, handmade pasta, fresh seafood, or authentic pizzas.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked section, ensuring all mise-en-place is completed before and during service.
- Adhering strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation policies.
- Working collaboratively with the chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless service and consistent quality.
- Demonstrating flexibility and a team-focused attitude, willing to support other sections or departments during peak periods.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who bring skill, enthusiasm, and a professional attitude to our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid working rights in New Zealand (this is a mandatory requirement for application).
- A positive, motivated attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality and food.
- Relevant kitchen experience for the role you are applying for (Kitchen Hand, Demi Chef, or CDP).
- The ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A commitment to reliability, flexibility, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
