Key Responsibilities
You will be a key contributor to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable healthcare environment.
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of all assigned areas including patient rooms, common areas, washrooms, and clinical spaces.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, light fixtures, vents, walls, windows, furniture, and floors (including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing).
- Restock supplies, empty trash, and handle waste according to established health and safety protocols.
- May assist with minor maintenance tasks or furniture setup and report any repair needs promptly.
- Adhere to the highest standards of infection control and sanitation specific to a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
To succeed in this important role, you will need:
- One year of previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the job and use required tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills with a willingness to go above and beyond.
- Ability to follow procedures meticulously and comply with all health and safety standards.
- Must be able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Background Check and required Immunization Records.
