The annual salary ranges from $23,000 to $45,000. What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, filling holes, or sealing cracks.
- Select appropriate paint or finish such as oil, latex, enamel, or stain, and mix it with thinner or reducer.
- Measure and cut trim to size using a variety of carpentry tools.
- Apply paint to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Hang wallpaper or fabric to walls as needed.
- Clean up job sites, cleaning and returning painting tools and materials to proper storage areas.
- Monitor the quality of work and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Follow safety regulations and protocols at all times.
- Maintain records of supplies, materials, and activities.
- Create estimates for painting jobs and communicate them to customers.
What We Are Looking For
- At least two years of experience in a professional painting or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of painting and decorating techniques.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights.
