Key Responsibilities

As a Gardener, you’ll be responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of beautiful gardens that meet client expectations.

  • Design, create, and maintain gardens, including sourcing plants and materials, following garden plans, and implementing best planting practices.
  • Perform planting, weeding, pruning, blowing, spraying, weed eating, and general vegetation control tasks.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of designated sites within the contracted works.
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager and/or client, promptly addressing and reporting any garden or planting issues.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality in all gardening activities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard, respecting yourself, your team, and community members.

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for someone with hands-on horticulture experience, strong plant knowledge, and the right skills and attitude to deliver high-quality work.

Essential Requirements:

  • A full, clean driver’s licence with manual driving capability (must-have).
  • Level 3-4 National Certificate in Horticulture.
  • Solid knowledge of plant species and their maintenance needs.
  • Ability to interpret and execute detailed gardening plans with precision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage professionally with clients and community members.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • In line with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug test.
