Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and maintain the transmission and distribution electricity network to ensure the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner.
  • Install and maintain overhead powerlines carrying electricity to domestic, commercial, and industrial users.
  • Operate associated plant and equipment safely and effectively to complete construction and maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all health and safety practices, ensuring a strong focus on safety in all activities.
  • Meet individual project productivity and target costs while maintaining the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Candidates must be a Victorian trade qualified Lineworker holding a Certificate III in Distribution. Previous experience working in this capacity is required. A strong understanding and appreciation of health and safety practices is essential. Candidates must hold a current licence to perform High Risk Work and a Construction White Card or Blue Card. A Forklift licence, Chainsaw Ticket, and Dogging ticket are desirable. A strong commitment to the highest quality of workmanship is essential. The ability to work effectively within a team and meet productivity targets is important.
