Property Service and Cleaning Wanted In New Zealand

A fast‑growing holiday accommodation management company is seeking a hands‑on, physically fit, and highly organised Property Operations and Services Specialist to join their Queenstown team. With over 200 properties under management across Queenstown and Waiheke Island, Goodstays is looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, seasonal environment where no two days are the same. You will manage property cleaning, inspections, maintenance, and guest communication, ensuring every home is ready to welcome visitors. This is a role for someone who is flexible, motivated, and ready to roll up their sleeves during peak seasons while helping with maintenance and projects during quieter periods.

  • During peak seasons (July–October and December–January), move across multiple properties daily, ensuring each is guest‑ready.
  • Outside peak periods, assist with maintenance, servicing, and cleaning tasks to keep properties and the company vehicle fleet in top condition.
  • Use independent judgment to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing schedules, often with short notice.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail and a positive, can‑do attitude, even under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Experience in property management, cleaning, or a similar hands‑on service role is preferred.
  • Ability to drive a manual light commercial vehicle; a full driver’s licence is required.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of moving between properties, carrying supplies, and performing manual tasks.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours; must live in Queenstown.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to multitask with minimal supervision.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive hourly rate of $34–$39 per hour, with guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week; public holidays at double time and a half.
