Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, tidy, and ready for use, including change rooms, showers, bathrooms, fitness program areas, hallways, and public spaces.
- Clean and sanitize exercise equipment, maintaining a hygienic environment for members.
- Wet and dry mop floors as required, sweep, and clean windows to keep surfaces spotless.
- Refill soap, paper towel, and other dispensers, and stock supplies throughout the facility.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures, using cleaning products and equipment correctly.
- Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and training events as required, contributing to a strong team culture.
- Perform other related duties as directed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the facility’s needs.
Qualifications
A minimum of one to three months of cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate. Good attention to detail and a focus on customer service are essential. The ability to be self‑directed and work with minimal supervision is important. Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification is required and can be obtained within one month of the start date. A clean Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required prior to the start date.
Benefits and Perks
This permanent full‑time position offers a competitive wage of CAD 19.86 per hour for 35 hours per week, with a schedule of Tuesday to Friday from 1:45 pm to 9:15 pm and Saturday from 10:45 am to 6:15 pm.
