Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing a wide variety of welding tasks to the highest standard. Your key duties will include:
- Performing high-quality MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, according to project specifications.
- Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine exact welding requirements.
- Setting up and calibrating welding machines and equipment appropriately for each specific job and material.
- Conducting thorough inspections of your own welds and finished structures to ensure they meet all quality and code standards.
- Safely operating a full suite of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, while performing routine maintenance.
- Strictly adhering to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to spec.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified and experienced welder with a well-rounded skillset. The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- CWB certification in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding is a significant asset and strongly preferred.
- Proven hands-on experience as a welder, with a demonstrable portfolio or work history of completed projects.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- In-depth knowledge of various welding techniques, metallurgy, and industry best practices.
- An unwavering attention to detail and a personal commitment to quality control.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team player.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks in various positions and environments.
