Key Responsibilities
As a Hammer Hand, you’ll be part of a skilled and collaborative team working on a variety of projects across the Auckland region.
- Assist with minor renovation and building works as part of construction and greenspace projects.
- Perform concrete work, including boxing, and install bollards, fencing, tracks, and wooden structures.
- Contribute to hard and soft landscaping tasks to enhance public spaces.
- Support project delivery to ensure work is completed on time and meets high standards of quality.
- Use hand and power tools confidently, and operate small machinery including diggers where advantageous.
- Follow all health and safety practices, keeping yourself, your team, and the public safe.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deliver exceptional results.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for someone with practical building experience, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Essential Requirements:
- A full driver’s licence.
- Proven experience working on-site, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- A solid work ethic and willingness to take on a range of tasks.
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong sense of teamwork.
- Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
- In accordance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- WTR endorsements or Class 2 licence.
- A current Site Safe Passport.
- A trade background.
- Experience operating small machinery, including diggers.
