Key Responsibilities
As a trainee and then a solo driver, your focus will be on safety, learning, and reliable freight transport.
- Complete a mandatory minimum 10-day, paid mentor training program with an experienced driver.
- After training and testing, operate safely as a solo OTR driver, typically out for 5-7 days at a time hauling dry van freight.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs, complete vehicle inspections, and manage trip planning.
- Aim for consistent weekly mileage to maximize earnings within legal hours-of-service limits.
Qualifications
This program has specific eligibility criteria tailored for new CDL holders.
- MUST HAVE a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- MUST HAVE obtained your Class A CDL within the past 12 months.
- MUST NOT have more than 3 months of driving experience with any other carrier.
- No SAP (Substance Abuse Program) drivers are eligible.
- You must live within 90 miles of Camphill (presumably Camp Hill, PA).
- A commitment to safety and a willingness to learn are essential.
