We’re seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our Pakenham-based business for on-site work. If you’re mechanically minded, good with hand tools, and can work independently or as part of a team, this role offers competitive hourly rates, daily overtime pay, and the flexibility to work a Saturday with OT rates and take a weekday off. This is a full-time position for the right applicant, with plenty of overtime available.
About the Opportunity
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their welding and fabrication work. You’ll be working on-site, reading shop drawings, and delivering quality results. Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on-site according to project requirements.
- Read and interpret shop drawings accurately.
- Use hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety.
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Good with hand tools.
- Mechanically minded.
- Welding tickets and qualifications.
- Ability to work on your own or in a team.
- Ability to work one day on the weekend (with a weekday off).
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- Car license.
- Must be currently living in Victoria.
Highly Regarded Skills:
- Forklift license.
- White card.
- Elevated work platform (EWP) ticket.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $38 – $53 per hour (negotiated based on experience) + Super
- Overtime: Paid daily boost your weekly earnings
- Job Type: Full-time position for the right applicant
- Schedule: Option to work Saturday with OT rates and take a weekday off
