Key Responsibilities
You will be pivotal in our fabrication process, bridging automated technology and skilled manual work. Your key duties will include:
- Performing daily safety inspections on hoists, forklifts, and welding equipment.
- Programming, operating, and editing weld programs for robotic welding systems to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Completing manual welding on areas inaccessible to the robot, ensuring the finished product meets our high standards.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducting First Part Checked procedures with proper sign-off.
- Safely handling, setting up, and changing out jigs and fixtures within the robotic cell.
- Preparing assemblies by spot welding and finishing them by cleaning welds and removing spatter.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings to ensure accuracy in every weldment.
- Identifying finished products with assigned stamps and inspecting-reporting any non-conforming items.
- Maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual with the following:
- Proven ability to read shop drawings and operate automated welding systems.
- Strong computer skills for programming and editing robotic weld paths.
- Solid manual welding skills to complement the robotic processes.
- The ability to follow safe work procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
- A keen eye for identifying substandard workmanship in fabrication and welding.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team.
- Familiarity with hand tools, impact wrenches, and air tools.
- The physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including standing for long periods, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.
