Painter Required In United States

Key Responsibilities

As a Painter I, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards of finish and durability.

  • Perform preparation work prior to painting, including repairing surface defects, sanding, and cleaning.
  • Apply masking tape or other materials over parts and areas not to be coated.
  • Mix paints and catalyst, pour coating liquid into pressure pots, and connect guns to air hoses.
  • Regulate spray width and pressure according to painting techniques, applying prime or finish coats to work surfaces.
  • Clean grease and dirt from products using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Fill, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
  • Fill depressions with body filler, and file dings to remove burrs and rough spots for a smooth finish.
  • Clean spraying equipment with solvent using proper personal protection.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Visually examine and feel surfaces to achieve required results.
  • Prime or paint surfaces after performing body repair as needed.
  • Perform other work as assigned, contributing to the team’s overall success.

Qualifications and Requirements

Ferrara-KME is looking for a team player with a strong work ethic and the physical capability to perform precision work in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to being a reliable team player.
  • Physical ability to climb, twist, bend, stoop, stand, squat, and grasp throughout the workday.
  • Use of hands and ability to work overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfort working with power tools, hand tools, and painting equipment.

Preferred (But Not Essential):

  • Previous experience in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing painting.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation, body filler application, and spray painting techniques.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
