Painters Jobs In Perth WA Australia

We are seeking a skilled and professional Painter to join our dedicated Property and Projects team at Amana Living. This is a unique opportunity to use your trade to directly enhance the lives of older Western Australians, maintaining the welcoming environments they call home. You’ll work on a variety of facilities across our sites, supported by a company vehicle and a team that values the difference you make.

About Amana Living

Amana Living is one of Western Australia’s largest and most respected aged care providers, dedicated to honouring and valuing older people since 1962. We offer a full range of services from residential care and retirement living to home care and dementia-specific support.

Our culture is defined by our values: Compassion, Collaboration, Curiosity, Inclusion, and Trust. As a painter here, you are a vital part of our mission, working “together” to enable older people to maintain their individuality and live a fulfilling life. You’ll join over 2,100 staff who are professionally trained and naturally kind, all working to make a meaningful difference every day.

Your Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role is essential in keeping our facilities in pristine condition. Your core duties will involve:

  • Preparing and painting rooms and units across our residential care homes, hostels, and retirement living villages, often coordinating with other property team members after a resident vacates.
  • Carefully undertaking painting work within occupied units, which includes sensitively moving furniture, removing wall fixtures, and thoroughly protecting residents’ belongings with drop sheets.
  • Receiving and completing paint jobs as assigned through our property helpdesk system.
  • Sourcing paints and materials from our approved suppliers, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace and adhering to all workplace health and safety standards, including the safe handling and disposal of materials.
  • Performing minor preparatory repairs to surfaces, such as filling cracks and holes, to ensure a flawless finish.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented tradesperson who understands the importance of their work in a care setting. To be successful, you will need:

  • A formal trade qualification in Painting.
  • Proven experience as a painter, with excellent knowledge of painting materials and application techniques.
  • A current WA Driver’s Licence and a solid driving record (a company vehicle is provided for work use).
  • The physical capability and stamina for a role involving constant movement, standing, and manual tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a respectful, customer-focused approach, especially when working around residents.
  • The ability to pass and maintain the necessary checks: a current National Police Clearance, an NDIS Clearance, and provide evidence of COVID-19 and current flu vaccinations per our company policy.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

At Amana Living, we believe in supporting our staff as they support others. When you join our team, you will receive:

  • A competitive hourly rate and the security of a full-time, permanent position with standard Monday to Friday hours (7:00 am – 3:06 pm).
  • The practical benefit of a company-supplied vehicle for work travel.
  • Significant salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550 per annum, allowing you to keep more of your pre-tax income.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family, free flu vaccinations, and discounted health insurance.
  • Industry-leading leave benefits, including up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave on top of government entitlements.
  • School holidays childcare assistance to help balance work and family life.
  • Ongoing training and development through our own Registered Training Organisation (RTO), with clear pathways for career growth.
  • A culture of recognition and celebration, including annual awards and family events.
