Key Responsibilities
As a Welder, you will be responsible for executing precise fabrication and installation work. Your core duties will be to:
- Perform skilled welding tasks using various processes, including TIG and MMA, to fabricate and assemble metal components as per project specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documents to plan and execute work.
- Operate a range of electrical and manual tools, such as saws, calipers, and squares, to measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding.
- Ensure all work meets the highest quality standards and adheres to strict project tolerances and requirements.
- Strictly follow all workplace health and safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like helmets, gloves, and face shields.
Qualifications
This position requires a formally trained professional with verifiable experience. You must possess:
- Proven experience as a professional welder in an industrial or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, particularly TIG and MMA.
- The ability to read, understand, and work from complex technical drawings and documents.
- Successful completion of a formal, relevant apprenticeship program is a mandatory requirement.
- A strong, inherent commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Professional dexterity, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in basic English for workplace communication.
- A recognized professional welding certificate (e.g., AWS) is a significant advantage.
