  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults accurately and efficiently will be a core part of your day.
  • You’ll build strong relationships with customers, explaining technical issues clearly and providing solutions they can trust.
  • Maintaining accurate service records, job notes, and documentation is essential.
  • You’ll represent Medx professionally at all times, taking pride in your workmanship and the reputation of our business.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a qualified technician with solid experience and the right attitude.

  • You must hold a current New Zealand EST (Electrical Service Technician) or EAS (Electrical Appliance Serviceperson) qualification, with at least four years of post-qualification experience.
  • A background in whiteware, pneumatics, electronics, electrical engineering, or biomedical equipment is highly valued.
  • You have a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and are comfortable travelling to customer sites across Northland.
  • You’re honest, trustworthy, and take genuine pride in delivering top-notch work.
  • Strong computer skills at an intermediate level are required for reporting and administration.
  • You have excellent people skills and can communicate effectively with both colleagues and customers.
  • You’re comfortable working unsupervised, taking ownership of your jobs, and going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

We believe in looking after our team, because great people deserve great working conditions.

  • Top Hourly Rate: Earn $30 – $35 per hour, recognising your skills and experience.
