Key Responsibilities
As our Service Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in our customers’ journey, ensuring they feel supported and empowered long after their purchase is complete.
- Perform repairs and general maintenance on spa pools, saunas, chill units, swim spas, and ice baths across the Canterbury region
- Provide clear, patient technical guidance to customers who have questions or need troubleshooting support
- Collaborate with our nationwide network of service agents to coordinate complex repair tasks
- Maintain diligent service records and keep our active job tracking system updated
- Oversee the spare parts area and assessment zone, ensuring technicians have what they need
- Be available to assist with technical support videos that help customers self-serve
- Support our customer care team with technical expertise and bespoke solutions for unique situations
- Represent Alpine Spas professionally in every interaction, backed by a branded work van and genuine after-sales support hours (Monday-Friday 9am-7pm)
Qualifications
We’re seeking someone with strong technical acumen who is genuinely passionate about helping customers and delivering real results.
You are:
- Mechanically inclined with solid diagnostic abilities knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing is a significant advantage
- Experienced in a service industry role (spa and pool industry experience is a bonus, but not essential we value attitude and aptitude)
- A confident, articulate communicator who can explain technical concepts in plain language
- Adaptable and proactive, comfortable taking initiative when situations require it
- Available for travel across the broader Canterbury region as customer needs arise
- Thoughtful, thorough, and someone who genuinely thrives on solving problems
You must have:
- New Zealand residency or citizenship
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
