We are hiring an On-Call (Casual) Laundry Aide for Marquise Hospitality at our Nepean location. This is an existing vacancy, and we are looking for someone with open availability to start on an on-call basis through mid-March. If you’re dependable, comfortable working independently, and take pride in keeping things clean and orderly, this could be a strong fit. Key Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, and dry linens according to established procedures, ensuring proper load sizes and detergent usage.
  • Fold, count, and stack clean linens neatly for distribution to resident rooms and common areas.
  • Collect soiled linens from designated areas and transport them safely to the laundry processing room.
  • Deliver clean linens to appropriate storage locations and resident floors.
  • Inspect linens regularly for signs of wear, stains, or damage, and follow standard procedures for retiring or repairing items.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized laundry work area at all times.
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment including washing machines, dryers, linen presses, and clothing labelers with confidence.
  • Communicate supply needs or equipment concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is helpful, but not mandatory we value dependability and attention to detail just as much.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • Comfortable operating standard commercial laundry equipment; training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Self-motivated and able to stay on task without constant supervision.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and transporting linens throughout the shift.
