Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks in classrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas before or after school according to assigned shifts.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain hygiene and health standards in compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored appropriately.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure a consistent high standard of cleanliness throughout the College.
- Work independently while managing time effectively to complete all assigned tasks within the scheduled hours.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Support a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role is preferred.
- Ability to manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Positive Notice blue card through Queensland’s Working with Children Check.
- Alignment with the College’s Christian ethos is required to maintain consistency with the school’s values.
