What You’ll Be Doing
- Getting behind the controls of a range of diggers and excavators to handle essential construction tasks think site preparation, moving materials, and finishing work like landscaping.
- Working as a key part of a wider construction crew, collaborating to hit project deadlines and deliver quality results.
- Taking ownership of your machine by performing routine checks and basic maintenance to keep everything running safely and smoothly.
- Keeping health and safety front of mind at all times following protocols to protect yourself and the people you’re working alongside.
- Maintaining accurate records of the work you’ve completed and your machinery usage, helping the team stay organised and on track.
- Bringing a positive, can-do attitude to site every day and being ready to lend a hand when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- You’ve got at least two years of solid experience as a Digger Operator in the construction industry—you know your way around a site and around your machine.
- You’re proficient in operating a range of diggers and excavators and can adapt to different machines and tasks with confidence.
- You have a strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations—safety isn’t just a rulebook to you, it’s how you work.
- Your hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness are excellent, helping you work efficiently and avoid issues on site.
- You’re comfortable working as part of a team but can also be trusted to work independently when the job requires it.
- You communicate well, can solve problems on the fly, and pay close attention to the details that make a job well done.
- You hold the relevant licences and endorsements to operate the machinery required.
