Key Responsibilities
As a Bus Driver with MV Transportation, you will be the friendly, professional face of our service. Your core responsibilities will be to:
- Operate buses safely and punctually along designated routes in Carson and the surrounding LA Metro area.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to all passengers, ensuring a positive and respectful experience for everyone on board.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in proper working order and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations without exception.
- Assist passengers with disabilities as needed, following proper procedures for wheelchair securement and other accommodations.
- Manage fare collection and maintain accurate logs and reports as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for responsible, community-minded individuals to join our driving team. To qualify, you must:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid California Driver’s License and be willing and able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and airbrake endorsements (we provide training).
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Have excellent communication and decision-making skills, with a calm and professional demeanor.
- A commitment to safety and providing outstanding customer service is essential.
