Escargot Food Processing And Snail Farm Worker Needed In Singapore

Ever thought about working with snails? It’s more interesting than it sounds. We’re looking for an Escargot Food Processing and Farm Worker to join our team in Singapore on a part-time basis. You’ll be involved in everything from caring for live snails to processing them for food products learning the full cycle of a unique agricultural operation. If you’re comfortable working on a farm, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and want to gain experience in food production, this role offers something a little different.

About the Company

We’re a specialist food production operation focused on escargot—from farm to table. Based in Singapore, we handle every stage of the process, including raising healthy snails, processing them safely and hygienically, and packing products for customers. It’s a hands-on environment where attention to detail matters and quality is always the goal. Our team is small, supportive, and committed to doing things properly. If you’re curious about where food comes from and enjoy practical, varied work, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support Escargot Production: You’ll assist with the safe and hygienic production of escargot, following established procedures to maintain quality and food safety standards.
  • Operate Processing Equipment: Learn to use cooking and processing equipment under supervision, becoming confident with the machinery involved in food production.
  • Handle Ingredients Carefully: You’ll prepare, measure, and handle ingredients accurately, making sure everything is ready for each stage of production.
  • Care for Live Snails: A unique part of the role involves feeding and caring for live snails, ensuring their health and well-being as part of the production cycle. You’ll handle them humanely and with respect.
  • Pack and Dispatch Orders: Once products are ready, you’ll pack them according to customer orders, label correctly, and prepare them for dispatch. Accuracy matters here.
  • Organise and Store Products: You’ll keep ingredients and finished products properly organised, making sure storage conditions are correct and everything is easy to find.
  • Check Quality: Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality, flagging anything that doesn’t meet our standards.
  • Assist with Inventory: Help with stock checks and inventory management, keeping track of what we have and what we need.
  • Maintain Farm Areas: Clean and maintain snail enclosures and general farm areas, ensuring a healthy environment for the snails and a safe workspace for the team.
  • Support General Farm Operations: This might include watering, composting, basic maintenance, and other tasks that keep the farm running day to day.
  • Follow Safety Rules: You’ll stick to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, reporting any issues to your supervisor promptly.
  • Pitch In Where Needed: Other production or farm-related duties will come up, and you’ll be ready to help out as part of the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • No Experience Needed: We provide full training, so you don’t need to have done this before. Just bring a willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable with Live Snails: This is essential. You’ll be working with live snails regularly, so you need to be okay with that—no squeamishness allowed.
  • Physically Fit: The role involves standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving around. You need to be fit enough to handle that day in, day out.
  • Able to Work Independently: Once you know what needs to be done, you should be able to get on with it in a fast-paced environment without constant supervision.
  • Experience Is a Plus: If you’ve worked in food processing, packing, farm work, or animal care before, that’s great. But it’s not required.
  • Reliable and Responsible: We need people who show up when they’re supposed to and take their work seriously.

Working Hours

  • 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • 3 to 4 days per week (24–32 hours weekly)
  • Part-time, consistent schedule

Why Join Us

  • Full Training Provided: You don’t need experience. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, from snail care to food processing and packing.
  • Supportive Team Environment: You’ll work alongside people who are happy to help you learn and answer your questions.
  • Hands-On Learning: This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be actively involved in real production and farm work every day.
  • Gain Varied Experience: You’ll build skills across food production, packing, dispatch, inventory management, and farm operations all in one role.
  • Unique Work: Not many people can say they’ve worked in escargot production. It’s a talking point and a genuine niche skill.
  • Competitive Pay: Earn between $15.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
