Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste. Your primary duties will include:
- Safely operating a front-end waste collection truck along assigned routes, ensuring all contractual requirements are met.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Loading the truck in a safe and efficient manner, operating equipment under various weather and road conditions.
- Maintaining regular communication with your supervisor and team to report any on-route issues or vehicle concerns.
- Adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Completing all routes in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean and acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Proven experience in the waste management industry or a similar field.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to comply with all safety protocols.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional work ethic.
- Flexibility with working hours and a commitment to providing consistent service.
