Key Responsibilities
As a new driver with Western Express, your primary focus will be on safety and professional development as you learn the ropes. Your key duties will include:
- Operating a commercial vehicle safely and in full compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Transporting freight efficiently for our customers, whether you choose a no-touch Dry Van or a Flatbed division (subject to availability).
- Conducting meticulous pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintaining accurate electronic logs and all necessary trip documentation.
- Communicating professionally and effectively with dispatch and customer personnel.
- Committing to the training process, learning best practices for safety, fuel efficiency, and trip management.
Qualifications

- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
