Key Responsibilities

You’ll be part of a crew maintaining gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring they are safe and welcoming for residents.

  • Assist with a wide range of garden maintenance tasks including mowing small lawn areas, weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming.
  • Help develop new garden beds and landscapes, participating in planting and vegetation control.
  • Perform hand-pulling of weeds and other general labour duties as required to keep outdoor spaces tidy.
  • Work safely and collaboratively within a team, following all health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, your colleagues, and village residents.
  • Use and maintain gardening tools and equipment appropriately after training.
  • Interact respectfully with residents and community members when on site.

Qualifications

  • A full, current driver’s licence is essential; experience driving a manual vehicle is preferred.
  • A strong, hands-on work ethic, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and reliability.
  • Good physical fitness to handle the manual demands of gardening and outdoor work.
  • Good communication skills and a respectful manner.
  • A willingness to learn and follow health and safety practices closely.
  • No formal gardening experience is required training will be provided.
