Key Responsibilities
You’ll be part of a crew maintaining gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring they are safe and welcoming for residents.
- Assist with a wide range of garden maintenance tasks including mowing small lawn areas, weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming.
- Help develop new garden beds and landscapes, participating in planting and vegetation control.
- Perform hand-pulling of weeds and other general labour duties as required to keep outdoor spaces tidy.
- Work safely and collaboratively within a team, following all health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, your colleagues, and village residents.
- Use and maintain gardening tools and equipment appropriately after training.
- Interact respectfully with residents and community members when on site.
Qualifications
We value attitude and reliability above all for this entry-level role.
- A full, current driver’s licence is essential; experience driving a manual vehicle is preferred.
- A strong, hands-on work ethic, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and reliability.
- Good physical fitness to handle the manual demands of gardening and outdoor work.
- Good communication skills and a respectful manner.
- A willingness to learn and follow health and safety practices closely.
- No formal gardening experience is required training will be provided.
