Key Responsibilities
You will be a key contributor to our home’s daily rhythm and hygiene standards. Your important duties will include:
- Performing thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal lounges, dining areas, and staff spaces.
- Carrying out all laundry tasks with care, including washing, drying, folding, and returning linen and residents’ personal clothing.
- Strictly following established infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
- Safely using all provided cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Observing and reporting any potential hazards, maintenance needs, or damaged equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Working in a quiet, respectful manner around residents, always upholding their privacy and dignity.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have:
- A reliable, flexible, and proactive work ethic, taking genuine pride in maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience in cleaning or laundry work is ideal; experience in aged care or healthcare is a bonus but not required full training is provided.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage your time and tasks effectively.
- The capability to work well independently and as a supportive member of our wider team.
- A respectful, kind, and patient demeanour towards older people.
- The physical ability to comfortably carry out cleaning and laundry duties, which involve standing, bending, and moving light loads.
