Key Responsibilities
As a Site Welder, you will be essential to the physical construction of our projects, primarily on active job sites. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-quality manual welding operations using FCAW-GMAW processes to create consistent, reliable, and leak-tight joints.
- Reading specifications, setting up components for welding, and cutting material with powered saws to match precise measurements.
- Preparing parts using angle grinders and aligning components with calipers, rulers, and clamps to ensure perfect fit-up.
- Welding components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead) using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
- Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct any flaws, ensuring top-tier quality.
- Maintaining all welding and grinding equipment in a safe, operational condition.
- This role requires the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious welder with the following qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on welding experience.
- Proven technical skills in Fabricating, Grinding, Torching, and Arc Welding (FCAW-GMAW).
- The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend up to 6 hours walking and standing on a construction site.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and following detailed instructions.
- The willingness and availability for significant travel (up to 75%) to various project sites.
