About Our Hokitika Site and Silver Fern Farms
Our Hokitika processing site is a vital part of the West Coast community, employing over 120 people during the peak season. Nestled along the coastline just minutes from town, it’s the perfect base for those who love outdoor adventure and a relaxed lifestyle with a short commute. At Silver Fern Farms, we’re passionate about creating goodness from the farms the world needs, and your role is essential in maintaining the high standards that define our global reputation.
Your Role and Working Arrangements
You will be a key part of our operations, ensuring our processing plant meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Perform thorough cleaning duties throughout the processing plant using approved chemicals and procedures.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to complete all tasks efficiently and to standard.
- Strictly follow all health, safety, and quality compliance requirements.
- Handle and use industrial cleaning chemicals safely with the provided training and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Shift Pattern: This is an evening night shift role. Hours vary between 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM, depending on the season, offering approximately 30 hours per week plus opportunities for overtime.
