Key Responsibilities
You’ll be the versatile support player for our Dannevirke team, stepping in wherever needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform a wide range of gardening and horticulture duties, including planting, pruning, weeding, and general grounds maintenance.
- Operate mowers and other equipment to maintain parks, reserves, and open spaces to a high standard.
- Assist with response and repair work, tackling reactive maintenance tasks as they arise.
- Provide crucial cover and support across the wider team during peak seasons, busy periods, and planned staff leave.
- Work collaboratively, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality.
Qualifications

- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to work across a diverse range of duties.
- Experience in gardening, horticulture, mowing, or general outdoor maintenance is preferred, but not essential for a keen learner.

- A full, clean driver’s licence is required; the ability to drive manual vehicles and tow trailers is highly desirable.
- Comfort with operating equipment or a strong willingness to be trained.
