Key Responsibilities

You’ll be the versatile support player for our Dannevirke team, stepping in wherever needed to ensure seamless operations.

  • Perform a wide range of gardening and horticulture duties, including planting, pruning, weeding, and general grounds maintenance.
  • Operate mowers and other equipment to maintain parks, reserves, and open spaces to a high standard.
  • Assist with response and repair work, tackling reactive maintenance tasks as they arise.
  • Provide crucial cover and support across the wider team during peak seasons, busy periods, and planned staff leave.
  • Work collaboratively, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality.

Qualifications

We are looking for a positive, adaptable individual who isn’t afraid of hard work.

  • A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to work across a diverse range of duties.
  • Experience in gardening, horticulture, mowing, or general outdoor maintenance is preferred, but not essential for a keen learner.

  • A full, clean driver’s licence is required; the ability to drive manual vehicles and tow trailers is highly desirable.
  • Comfort with operating equipment or a strong willingness to be trained.
