Specialized Welders Required In Australia

CoreStaff is currently looking for an experienced Production Welder to join our client’s manufacturing team in Laverton. This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, working with an Australian-wide manufacturer of trailers and trailer axles. If you’ve got MIG welding experience and you’re comfortable in a busy production environment, this could be a solid fit. You’ll be welding brackets to axles, using overhead cranes, and keeping things moving on the production floor.

Who We Are

At CoreStaff, we do things a bit differently. We actually show up onsite, we get to know the people we place, and we make sure you’re not just another candidate sent to an assignment and forgotten about. We’re about building real connections and rewarding people for doing a great job. If you want to feel like part of the Crew instead of just a number in a database, this is the place to be.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • MIG welding brackets to axles: You’ll be working in the production area, welding components onto trailer axles with precision and efficiency.
  • Operating overhead cranes: You’ll use overhead cranes to position axles at your workstation so everything flows smoothly.
  • Grinding axles: You’ll handle grinding tasks to prep surfaces and finish welds to the required standard.
  • Other duties as needed: In a busy production environment, you’ll pitch in wherever the team needs support to keep things moving.

What We’re Looking For

  • MIG welding experience that you can put to work right away no training wheels needed.
  • Experience in a busy production area where speed and quality both matter.
  • The ability to work independently while staying coordinated with the wider production team.
  • Reliability and consistency day shift starts at 7am, and we need people who show up ready to work.
  • Comfort with overhead crane operation (training can be provided if needed, but experience is a plus).

What You’ll Get

  • Casual ongoing role with consistent day shift hours.
  • $46.44 per hour plus super solid pay for your skills and experience.
  • Laverton location for local work without a massive commute across the city.
  • Access to CoreStaff employee benefits because we believe in rewarding good work.
  • A team that actually engages with you onsite not just a phone call when you’re needed and silence after.

A Note on Diversity

CoreStaff is a leader in workplace diversity. We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous Australians for all roles, females for non-traditional female roles, and applicants with disabilities to apply for any of our positions. We believe the best crews are built from people with different backgrounds and experiences.

Ready to Join the Crew?

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, here’s how to get started:

  • Prepare your resume and highlight your MIG welding experience and any production environment work you’ve done.
  • Be ready to talk about your skills and why you’d be a good fit for this team.

We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so the sooner you apply, the sooner we can connect. Let’s see if this is the right fit for you.
